I seem to recall reading that somebody in the UK was now selling original looking Champion branded bakelite spark plug caps without the resistor. The original Jaguar part number was C16979, or is currently WCX600 (SNG), but these have the resistor.
Does anybody know where solid ones can be found?

This is all the information we have on Champion plug caps: viewtopic.php?p=34661&highlight=champion#34661
If you want non resistor caps then you need to get the WC548 'Oval' caps. All the 'bow tie' caps are suppressed. I don't know of a supplier of WC600's or even if Champion ever made any as Jaguar fitted the suppressor type. SPC J30 June 1963 says "#C16979 Terminal For Sparking Plug Leads (Incorporating Suppressor)"
