Hi
Has anyone out there got any experience of these on a std road car?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-2-ROW-Jag ... SwxN5WWB5-
My car is perfectly bog standard and I have no intention of ever going racing! It has a later brass rad which, touch wood, seems fine for now. Saw these on everyone fav auction site. If mine fails are these are any good.......
Any feedback appreciated

I have one of there in my 3.8.
Cheap and cheerful Chinese so quality might be an issue but so far it works well and hasn't leaked.
Mine was somewhat cheaper than that although it looks identical. The only problem I had was that the lower mounting bolts were incorrectly spaced by about 10mm. I had them rewelded.

I have one of the Chinese 4.2 radiators on my engine run stand. When I was building it, something didn't look right, but all my measurements were correct. Turn out the radiator is twisted or warped by about 3/8" (10mm). Works OK on the stand though.

I have no experience of the one you mention, your car originally would have been fitted with a Marston (finned on edges) that is if originality is important! Fosseways plus others do them but are a lot more expensive by 3 times!

Thanks all for the comments. I did look at Fosseway as my car would presumably have had a marston pattern originally although originality is not essential. A lovely rad but ???. Mine is fine for now. Might start saving for a Fosseway or I see XKs unlimited do an alloy one too.

Some aluminum radiator advice on the JCNA site, Ray Livingston wrote a good article. I have used Griffin in other cars and was happy with quality. Suspect Howe to be of same value/quality. Worth every cent of the $200-ish price tag.
