#1 Terminal Block

Post by Simonpfhc » Mon Apr 11, 2016 4:49 pm

Hi all,

Does any have a picture, or can simply describe, what components are inside the fuel pump terminal block that is bolted to the rear of the boot? It was missing on mine and according to the wiring diagram it looks like it just houses the connection point for the wiring. However, if it is just that, what is the point??

Cheers.

Mine is a rubber(?) Box about an inch and a half by an inch by about three quarters of an inch deep. A plastic cover fits over the top.

Inside are just two single bullet connectors that join the wiring harness cables to the leads from the pump. Pretty simple really.

Can't be 100% sure mine is original but I believe it to be genuine.

Am guessing it provides a shroud around the joints in case of a spark....pretty pointless as none of the other wire joints for the lights etc are similarly shrouded...might also provide protection from a bash when removing the spare wheel maybe...

The box is rubber or flexible plastic with a warning notice that presses into place. There are no terminals, just somewhere to locate and protect the bullet connectors for the fuel pump. Available from SNGB as part C18346

No problem....my cover plate has evidently either lost it wording or been replaced with a plain plastic cover!!.I never knew it was supposed to be inscribed.... As with so many posts on here we all learn from everyone else....brilliant.
