Indicators

Hello chaps,

When I indicate to turn left both my indicator dash warning lights flash but only the left outside is actually flashing. If I pull the indicator stalk towards the steering wheel at the same time it corrects just leaving the left dash warning light flashing as it should. All is ok when indicating to the right. Happens intermittently but more often than not.

Something amiss with your stalk switch or the wiring to it probably. The switch has two sets of contacts. One set feeds the main indicators as appropriate and the other the pilots. I would look there first and also the wires to and from it...maybe some cracked insulation.? As the main lights flash correctly the flasher works and so do the main indicators contacts and wiring it can only be the pilot feed.

Thanks, someone suggested the flasher but I agree if the main lights are working correctly this would not be so. I'll have a look at the switch and wiring.
