Hello
Does anyone know if the 4 captive nuts for the bonnet latch, 2 below the voltage regulator and 2 by the chassis plate, were carried over on the vehicle bodies after the outside latch was dropped?

I have seen several cars that had the holes for the angle bracket with bolts in them, but no OBL brackets. So yes, I would suggest that they did but not sure when that was dropped

My flat floor which is 21st November '61 doesn't have any angle brackets only two self tappers each side where the brackets would have been.
It looks like the holes were still being put in in where you suggest and Jaguar simply put self tappers in to fill the holes.
I've never noticed bolts in the holes then again I've never really looked, I know of a UK car in Canada that also has self tappers fitted.

For roadsters, the accommodation on the body for both versions of latches probably continued for somewhere around a thousand more cars (total LHD and RHD) after the outside latches. Don't think it's actually documented anywhere.
