Hello chaps,
I'm going to have a correct two piece hardura mat made to replace my tatty incorrect one piece. I have no luggage rails at all including on the fold down board which is also incorrectly fitted with the pop-up chrome legs. What are my options to buy a full set of rails and the rubber insert.
Cheers,
Pete.

Sadly the rails are like hens teeth. They do show up on that well known auction site once in a while but go for ???. I looked for three years. Eventually a lovely forum member in Germany sold me some old ones. They may be available new but one quote I got from a uk suppler was north of a grand.....ludicrous. put an ad in the wanted section here and be patient is all I can offer I am afraid.

I guess that's why I don't have any! I've seen quite a few cars with them missing so obviously they've decided not to spend the crazy $$
Shame though as it completes the look.

You can with a bit of ingenuity make your own using the rail which is supplied by Holden's Vintage Supplies and the rubber inserts for them. The difficult bits are the square ends, which can be made by cutting the sides back and then bending the horizontal base upwards, and the spear ends where you have to use similar , but rather more difficult to do accurately, tactics. The answer is to buy longer lengths than you need, and use some off cuts to practise . The result is not entirely authentic, but would pass all but a real nit picker's inspection :D :D

Any tips?
