#1 Fog light for my Series 1

Post by ETTony » Sun Jun 26, 2016 11:50 am

There is no fog light on the back of my car.

Q. It is a 1967, do i need one for the MoT ?

Even if it is not required for MoT, should I decide to fit one what do you guys use.
I am defo not interested in a single red light randomly hanging down

Is there a good red/white, fog/ reverse lens that would replace the integral reverse white lens.

thanks again

Not required for an MOT on cars manufactured before 1980 but if you do fit one it will need to follow current regulations. Never bothered with one myself.

If you do fit one the switch must be in the drivers line of sight and have a tell tale light. Hidden switch would be an MOT fail unless you used something like a dual colour LED bulb in the reversing light housing.
