door drain hose ?

I Wonder if i must fix a drain hose on the front hole of the door ? I can't see or touch the down end of the metal drain , The rear hole has not a drain so the water should drip above ....!

Yves, you must have/fit a drain hose to the front hole. If you stretch a bit your arm from the inside, you will be able to feel the metal tube on which the hose should be fitted. This of course on condition that you have not yet fitted the window channel and mechanism.
On many unrestored cars this hose would be broken and found in the bottom of the door, while a bit would still be well stuck on the metal tube and you will have to pry it off with a small screwdriver.
The hose should be long enough to reach the bottom of the door, just close by the drain opening.
Quite some water is channelled with this hose when raining or washing, without it you will surely find water in the foot well.

Paul - in my version of Flickr, towards the bottom of the page there are three icons, a star, an arrow pointing downwards towards a line, and inbetween, a fat arrow. The star is to "favourite" the photo, the arrow pointing downwards is to download, and the middle one is to share. On sharing, there is an option for the "BB code". I've copied and then added it to this post..... (did any of that make sense!!?)

Thank's Stuart , the exact picture for my problem...! so I have taken out the window frame for the ...... 5th times .... (but now it's very quick ) and i fix a hose at the right place.
