#1 datem points series 1 2+2

Post by 01007320 » Wed Jul 20, 2016 12:35 pm

Hi all, hopefully someone may be able to help. I have a 67 series 1 2+2 and putting in new floors, boot floor sills and all the usual bits with restoring the body. Does anyone have a drawing showing distances between known points. Many thanks in advance Mark.

Hi Mark,

I don't know if this will help you, but in the knowledge base under Series Three service manual; body.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/849 ... 6_Body.pdf

There are some references to datum points. The Series Three is a long wheel base model which I am led to believe shares the same floor pan with the 2+2's.

My only other advice would be to do one side at a time and use the other side for reference. that's what I did when doing my FHC on which I had to do extensive body repairs.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Paul, really appreciate it and it will answer all the queries I have and a few more a little later in the project. Thanks again.

Hi sorry hadn't logged in for a while. Name is Mark and live in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The car is currently complete so will take some measurements before any work is done but want to check and then also check the new panels that go in. Will give you a shout if I need any measurements and thanks for the offer.
