I found at the bottom my chrome parts basket that part.... ? I don't remember were it goes ? an idea ?

My guess? Some sort of pressure restrictor.
Not an E Type part.

It looks like some kind of a bleeder or lubrication fitting. Is the screw inside actually threaded into it, or has it just become trapped in there during transport?
It certainly doesn't seem to be a Jaguar part like I've ever seen.
If the threads are imperial, and the screw actually seals the port, look closely at your cooling, fuel, PAS, and other hydraulic systems for a suitable threaded hole. Somebody may have fitted it as a bleed point, on the Reservac tank, for example. It may also just have been used to plug an oil, coolant, or vacuum port on the engine.

Looks like an adaptor that you would use with an mechanical oil pressure guage, that replaces one of the oil galley plugs in the block.
The interior screw perhaps to seal it if the gage is not fitted??
