Bonnet dimple. Last phase of restoration of Series 2

was install light assembly backing cover. Cover screwed in without force. When bonnet was closed, a tiny dimple occurred on top of bonnet. Hard to see with a pic.
Location is just below the upper inside corner of backing cover…see pics. Any idea of cause before we go to expense of removing the dimple?

You sound as though you are telling us that the shape of the bonnet exterior has buckled just because you closed the bonnet. That'd mean that the sheet metal must be very then at that point and unable to take the shift in weight of opening and closing.
One would assume that the intersection where the bonnet centre, headlamp diaphragm panel and air dam all meet is where it was more or less rusted through.
