#1 Solenoid cable

Post by tonyabacus » Sun Oct 19, 2025 4:08 pm

I posted this in the Technical section, but thought it as well to post it here too.

I have an S2 late 1970.

The cable between the battery and the solenoid is hanging loose and should obviously be clipped at some point(s) along its route to keep it secure and not just left hanging loose. So my question is, where should this cable be clipped to either the engine or the frame, any photos would also be appreciated. Thanks.
Tony

ps: the solenoid is on top of the starter, so the cable loops under the front of the engine presumably.

Hello Steve
Thanks for the information, I posted twice as it seems a lot of technical questions are posted in either S1 or S2 topics, which seems a little difficult to then know which of the topics, questions should appear in. Perhaps you can clarify.
Tony
