#1 Part ID needed

Post by Tbob » Thu Oct 01, 2015 10:50 pm

Hi. As some of you know, my 69 OTS project came literally in boxes. The PO did a good job of tagging parts, but some remain a mystery.

Can someone tell me what the part below is? About 2"x3", steel, rusty. and with a little bow in the middle. It was bagged with a bunch of bolts/nuts, also rusty. Appreciate your kind assistance.

BTW, I have completed the first phase of my car's rebirth - the body is painted! I posted a picture in my thread in the Welcome section. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

I think they're one of the brackets mounting the front roll bar:

Correct. They are fixed on the front frame via an aluminium spacer, together with the metal plate that support the front brake pipes.

That's it! Bad news is that I now have to find the other parts in your picture.

I appreciate the prompt help.
