I have purchased a standard 123 Distributor for my Series 2 2+2 (and new coil and leads), but have not fitted it yet.
I have seen a few reports about incompatibilities between electronic ignition systems and the Series 2 style rev counter that runs off the coil wire. Has anyone had problems with the 123 that required any wiring changes or changes to the Rev Counter?
My Rev Counter needs reconditioning (stuck permanently on 4000 rpm!!!), but before I spend the money on it, I want to be sure that it will work ok afterwards with the 123.
