Thanks to Carsten for the magazine articles and colour pictures. Very useful.
I've stripped my overdrive as far as I could without a hydraulic press (to get out the annulus and the bearings) and without Churchill tool L.213 to remove the pump non-return valve. It's midnight so I'll call it a day.
However when searching for a picture of the L.213 I did find this rather comprehensive (much better than the Triumph manual) Laycock factory manual covering the D and A-types. Front cover says Ferrari 250gte which makes it quite amusing.
