Hello again all. Having somewhat moved on in the A/C switch department, I have offered up the evaporator unit under the dash. Thing is that I can’t see how the unit is secured , other than the thin metal plaques on the frontside of the unit itself.

Any info/photos would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

I am trying to find a picture , but there is a simple right angle bracket way over on the right ( pass) side by the edge of the fan housing that screws to the evap, and then the side panel. it is nothing fancy and basically a 90 degree cabinet bracket thats about an inch long. that and the radio housing help support the whole contraption along with the brackets you mention.

i can't seem to find my old AirCon manual but as I recall, there are two tabs holding the unit tight to the underdash, while also two screw attachments at the sides. You remove the screws and pull the evap unit toward you to remove. Hope this helps

I am in the midst of a total restoration of my Series III and have a ton of photos.
I attached a few here that may be helpful.
Any others (evaporator on my bench, underside of dash, A/C lines, etc) as requested
