#1 Whats this cutout for?

What's the cutout in my dash top for? The dash had been recovered and this slot had just been covered over? It seems it would be quite useful to have it uncovered as it would prove useful to feed a cable through it for a SatNav.

Isn't it where the rod for the rear view mirror in an OTS would fit through?

Nope. It‘s for the SatNav- cable.

See how visionary those guys were...
