Interior panels question

The interior panels pictured [which I think are original] have a certain curvature to them whereas I'm thinking that they should be flat, as the structure to which they attach is flat. So I'm thinking that they have warped with age? So assuming they should be flat, has anyone attempted to flatten any of these panels? Perhaps using steam maybe? Any thoughts?

Hi Andy,

Mine is a 65 Series One so I am not sure if this still applies to yours, but my panels are hardboard covered with vinyl.
Yours appear to be Millboard, so ether Jaguar used Millboard on later panels or they are not original.
The panels should be flat, but when fitted they take on a slightly concave curve horizontally; they should be flat across the bottom of the quarter panel window.
I would think that you could steam them or put them in a damp environment for a day or so and then put a flat board on top and let it dry out to straighten them.

Alternatively, it would be easier to make up new panels using the originals as templates.

Thanks for your reply. I sort of assumed that the panels pictured are original because they have what look like machine made creases in them. But maybe the panels are not original, and perhaps someone can tell me?
