I've just completed an auto to manual conversion on my 2+2 using a jag all synchro box and compact overdrive .
Its obviously transformed the car .
It was laborious but straightforward.
If anyone is contemplating the same ..ask away !!!

I fitted a 3.07 diff, the 3.54 American spec diff was terrible .
In overdrive on the motorway I get 70 mph at 2300 revs .
Flick out of overdrive for overtaking, theres more than enough torque for instant acceleration.
