My series 2 is nearing ready for spraying i cant find on here the order of trial fitting the chrome in particular the headlight trims which im told are pop riveted can anyone point me in the right direction, ie are the pop rivets put in place and then slide the trims over them or are they fitted after spraying, Also is there a knack to hold the rubber strip in place when fixing the trims. Any advice appreciated.

You paint the car first - and then very carefully fit the chromes on top of their rubber strip.
