Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me understand the purpose of these four bolts from the back panel of my 1969 2+2 FHC (See photo below)
I presume something was fitted onto this.
Thanks
what went on these 4 protruding bolts in the boot back panel ?

They look rather like studs which would carry the mounting bracket for the boot latch on an OTS. Perhaps a repair panel meant for an OTS used sometime in the past? Others will know.

Just had a look in my 69 2+2 which is all original (at least it appears so) your panel seems to have been replaced with a roadster panel which as suggested previously has the boot release bolted in that position.
My panel has 4 indents where the studs would be positioned. The tack welds along the top edge also give it away as being repaired at some time, originally they are spot welded. Just cut the studs off and forget.
Number plates are located lower down and on the outside Steve.
Hope this helps and Merry Xmas to all.
