I bought a set of new rubber strips or mudguard from SNG last year and finally got some time to mount them but I'm not sure how they should be placed correctly.

The left side is quite obvious , also the right side.
But there are a metal strip that is wider than the others (except for the curved one).

Where should the wider 5 hole piece go?

Some pictures would be nice since I don't know all the English names for the different parts/location.

Hi,
On my 3.8, they were fitted to the left side inner bonnet, below the heater air intake (3 hole strip) and forward, parallel to the engine (5 hole strip). See arrows. This was before I fitted mine. If you enlarge the pic, you can see the five holes. Held on with rivets.

Thanks for the picture, it helped.
Maybe not as from factory but it seems like it should be “splash proof” now.
Planning to do some kind of splash shield underneath the engine like on modern cars, would have been nice to be able to drive trough rain without having to clean the engine bay from all dirt.
