Tony, welcome to the forum. Mine came out through the 1 1/2 inch holes in the underpanel just in front of the cross member with a P clip to hold them in place. Sorry, no photo to hand. And don’t know if that’s how they were originally done by the factory,

I don't believe that as they left the factory that the sugar scoops drain pipes came out of any holes in the bonnet underpanel area. On my car there was just a short length of hose connected to the sugar scoop drain outlet that directed the water into the under panel area and the water was left to find it's way out through the holes Robsan refers to, contributing to rusting out my under panel on it's way

When I rebuilt the car I used longer hoses to lead the water out through the holes in the way Geoff has described (- the "P" clips)

Thank you everyone. As usual British Leyland had not thought through the problem of drainage. I am going to make a tidy bulkhead fitting in the under panel to lead the water out. Non standard but will not be visible. Under panels cost 2 grand I see!!!!
