Hi all, what kind of tool kit would have been supplied with a series 2 FHC from late 1970? WOuld it have been a bag or one of the round tray types?
Thanks, Alasdair

It would have been a tool roll. If you look at the S2 parts book, you will see what type and also what tools would have been supplied as I think they are different to the Series 1 tools. FYI, there has been some debate as to whether Production E Types were ever supplied with the round type (as Mk II) and if they were, it would have been for the very early cars only.

As Angus says the round tool kit tray was only fitted to the very early cars (maybe the first 50 or 100). There is a thread on tool kits here: http://etypeuk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1924.

S1 Toolkit and S3 Toolkit:

The S2 toolkit could be either of the above depending when the car left the factory. They come up fairly regularly on eBay for about ?300 (there is an S3 one on there at the moment).
