#1 Changing contact breaker points

Today I changed points and condenser. Every time I do this, I worry that I will drop a screw down the inside of the distributor.
What do forum members do to reduce this risk?
1. Use a magnet.
2. Cover gaps with a cloth
3. Use thick grease on the screwdriver
4. Fit electronic ignition
5. Any other suggestions?

I used a combination of method 2 (the cloth) and method 3 (the grease), but I still wasn't totally confident....

Many thanks in advance for your advice.

John

Note the rotor arm position in the dizzy....slacken the dizzy clamp nut.....pull out the dizzy.....then take it to the bench to fit the points...or by the side of the road....refit..easy.....Steve

Steve

Brilliant, simple, easy when you know how. I'll do it that way next time.

Many thanks, Steve
