Hi,
Oct 68 2+2 converted from LHD to RHD.
LH door has just the push button instead of a lock which is ok as can unlock from inside.

The door striker guide peg does not fit the holes in the LH door.
Any idea what the story is here? Early replacement S1 door?

I think you're right, that sounds like a Series 1 door
The striker alignment issue is a classic giveaway for a mismatch on these cars
