#1 Windscreen seal - correct placement

Post by BlackJag » Fri Jun 20, 2025 12:15 am

I'm trying to place the new windscreen seal but am not certain that I'm positioning it correctly based on the pictures below. I've secured the seal onto the right, bottom and left edges of the vehicle. leaving the glass to be inserted into the squared slot per my diagram and the fitting seal into the larger groove in the windscreen seal. However, that means that the fitting seal must be inserted from the interior of the passenger compartment. Makes sense as the smooth rounded edge of the windscreen seal will then be on the exterior of the vehicle. Am I correct?

I'm unable to make the photo larger. On the left is the windscreen seal, the middle is the filler seal inside the windscreen seal, and the filler seal is on the right.

I think you've got it the wrong way round, the filler seal goes on the outside (engine side) and the chrome trim goes over it, locking into the 2 grooves or lips either side of it.

Thanks Randall for the answer, which I now realize to be correct and Simon for confirming it.
