Hi guys, I have not visited the forum in a while but my restoration project is comming along well.

Today, however, I came upon an enigma.

I have a 69 OTS car with a/c. I am reassembling the motor and was test fitting the water pump and pulleys. To do that I also had to install the heavy bracket that holds the A/C compressor and the alternator.

From what I got with the car, I think I am missing a pulley. From the picture here, can anyone tell me what should go there and maybe show me a picture of what it looks like?

This is how it looks with out the head installed:

And for the body, It's also coming along:

It looks like you have the same AC setup as my car, an early 69 2+2. It appears that you you are missing is the jockey pulley needed to adjust the AC belt tension. See Fig. 2, Page RY.s.2 of the factory manual (available on-line on this forum in the technical manuals section).

There is also an eccentric bolt and block. The part numbers are:
C22193 AC Pulley
C24447 Bolt
C 28167 Eccentric Block

I have purchased a replacement pulley (C22193) on eBay, there is one listed there now, but rest of the hardware may be harder to find. You might try contacting Welsh Enterprises here in Ohio, they may have a used assembly.

Andy,

I can't find the factory manual on this forum. Can you scan that page and post it for me or just show me where to find it...

Thanks

Francis:
It is in the "Knowledge Base" faq at the top of the forum. Also in the Bentley reprint.

Here is the link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8496016/S2%20Se ... ioning.pdf

My car is s till in storage for another month or so, or I would have taken some pics for you.

Thank You very much Andy!

I have ordered the pulley but have not gotten lucky yet on the eccentric mount bracket... If anyone has a lead for me.

Try posting a "parts wanted" ad in the classifieds of the Jag-lovers site. More likely to find it in North America I would think.
