#1 Seies 2 Headrest Removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the headrests fron my 1970 Series 2 OTS? There appears to be some sort of sprung catch in the seat back but i cannot seem to work out how it releases the headrest tube. Any help gratefully received. Ross.

There's a slot on the rounded edge of the stem right at the bottom. If you pull the headrest up to its highest position, then feel for the catch and press it while you keep pulling it will come out. If yours are anything like mine the catch will break off and then the headrest won't stay up unless you wedge it.

Thanks for this also Eric. I have succeeded in releasing both headrests following your advice - great help! Now to re-stuff them. Cheers. Ross.
