The plastic retaining screw holding the interior mirror (CO 28475) to the glued-on mount has been stripped. It is, I believe, part no C 28475. Can anyone tell me where it might be available to buy or what thread it is so that I can find a replacement? Thanks. Ross. 1970 Series 2 OTS.

I have a spare boss (BD32397) and a 3/16" UNF bolt screws in quite happily. So does a 2BA. Essentially a 10-32 thread. 2BA is 31.35 tpi and might be easier to find. Try
www.nylonalloys.co.uk and under Unified, Raised, Countersunk and you'll find a selection of lengths in the right thread. Only problem is you might have t buy a bag of 100 but I suppose you could be cheeky and ask for a sample.
Alternatively, I noticed that Richard Smith had a box of bosses at the last Stoneleigh spares day and they came with the plastic screw. He might sell you a screw on its own.
I don't think the exact thread is too important as long as it holds the mirror securely. Its only purpose was to allow the mirror to break off if you hit your head on it in an accident.
