Series 2 bonnet trim

The air intake on my US Spec S2 has a chrome upper & lower moulding similar to the Series3. I have always assumed this to OE fitment, but a well-respected parts supplier in UK tells me that it is an aftermarket fitment. Can anyone please enlighten me - I was hoping to buy replacements. According to Clausager:

From Chassis numbers - OTS LHD 2R 13621; FHC LHD 2R 27981:

Apr-Mar 1970 "1971" models for USA fitted with chrome finisher around air intake, and Jaguar 'leaper' badges.

No idea what the part numbers are and I am not even sure they have ever been reproduced as they were only fitted to less than 300 cars. As they were for the USA only you could try XK's Unlimited or ask the question on Jag-Lovers.
