Rebuilding my series 2 2+2
I have bought a new fuel pipe and bulk head connector
They cannot be connected as the bulk head connector is for a plastic pipe
I am now told that the pipe is correct but there re no suitable bulk head connectors available
Has anyone else had this problem and how has the problem been overcome
Many thanks
David

I chose to replace the original plastic pipe on my 3.8 with a steel one.
I removed the fitting that goes inside the plastic pipe, cut off the ribbed tail section, drilled the fitting out to the correct size and soldered it onto the end of the steel pipe.
If this is too hard just send the steel pipe back and use plastic.

Not sure I understand what you are saying. The original pipe is white nylon and should push on the banjo fittings ( with a little help from WD40 and immersing the fitting in boiling water). Are the banjo fittings missing?

Sounds like he's talking about the main metal line from boot to filter David, no banjos on that usually.

Thanks for suggestions
I like the idea of machining the tail away and soldering pipe in
Don't really want to go plastic
Has anyone modified any series 3 bits to overcome the problem
