The hand brake pads need replacing , do you have to take out rear sub frame to replace ? I will replace all pads at the same time . I have heard tales of poor quality pads coming un bonded after only a few miles , any recommendations ?
Thanks and regards Alan

Usually it can be done without dropping the IRS cage, but it is a very messy job. You have to unbolt the handbrake calipers from the main caliper carrier, and then pass each carrier peripherally round the diff until you can withdraw it through the rear aperture of the cage . I say usually because sometimes the dimensions are such that the caliper will not quite fit through the aperture, and then you are stuck ! Putting it back is even more tricky because you really have to do it by feel .
As far as pads are concerned, I too have had the trouble with them unbonding even before installation ! If you can get genuine Jaguar ones it is the best bet
