Hi All. The Haynes Manual illustrations are pretty poor so I have searched for a more comprehensive wiring diagram for my 1970 S2 OTS which has sub diagrams of the ignition system, charging circuit and others etc. Also, location and appearance of relays etc. Can anybody help?
Thanks,
Ian Sharman

Coventry Auto Components sell a book of wiring diagrams dedicated to each main circuit group. http://www.xkparts.co.uk Costs about ?10 when I last saw them at Stoneleigh.

The relay locations should be in the manuals; the fan relay is mounted on the top right of the picture frame & the alternator and horn relays are attached to the LH mudguard, next to the battery.
The starter solenoid relay was original inside the cabin under the RH A-post. In late 1969, a ballast resistor was introduced to the ignition circuitand the relay moved to the bulkhead directly behind the accelerator housing (on a RHD car).
