#1 Location of automatic gearbox number

Guys,
To make sure the E-type I'm looking at is a matching numbers car I need to know were I can find te gearboxnumber! It's a 1969 E-type coupe with an automatic gearbox.
I have removed the cover on the left site of the transmission tunnel but didn't find it!
