just wanted to know if you had ever heard of this brand and if this radio is period

I've never heard of the brand but it looks 70's & a quick google gave this page for a Clasonic advert in a Dec 1970 US newspaper...

I'm not sure it would have been standard fitment though. I think there's a thread in the forum somewhere which lists many of the standard fit radios of the day.

It's my understanding that the radios on US cars were a dealer installed option, so potentially any make of radio that would fit could have been installed. When I got my new '78 Spitfire, it came with the ordered options of factory hard top and overdrive; no radio. I went to a local vendor and bought a radio and installed it. Perhaps that was pretty standard at that time.
