After a lot of thought, I went for the 3 point static belts, mainly on the grounds that only I will be sitting in the drivers seat, and any passengers who can't be bothered to adjust their own seat belts don't deserve the gestalt 1969 experience.
SNG Barratts site says: "A mounting point on the B-Post may need to be created to allow fitment." I sort of hoped that more guidance might be obtained from them, but no luck.
The tub is awaiting prepping for spraying, and the shop wants me to tell them exactly what to do. Should there be a point already in the rear bulkhead? and if not, does the B post need reinforcement before drilling a hole in it?
I haven't managed to find any photographs on the interweb so far.

Seat belt points should already be there on all cars except the very early ones:

Good on you. Static seat belts are fine and part of the period experience. In a Corolla or Micra you might just want to jump in and drive, but taking five extra seconds to dig out the belt and clip it closed is all part of the pre-flight experience and a chance to ease your way into the retro frame of mind. Buckling up a full harness is a D is the same, with knobs on. Convenience be damned - we don't drive these things to be babied, we drive them for the mental and visceral experience in its own right. I don't want the job sanitised or pre-packaged, I want to enjoy every sixties second.
On yours there should be a threaded insert welded flush into the outboard ends of what would be the rear parcel shelf on modern cars. David's bottom right pic might be S1. My Dec 68-built S2 OTS had them higher.

David/Peter
Thank you for the responses. My rat infested (quite literally) hulk only had lap belts when I got it, so it is good news that the third anchorage point already exists and that no welding/reinforcement/drilling is likely to be required.
The new belts arrived from Barratts yesterday.
:D
