Before I strip the car completely I want to establish what was changed by PO.
I want this to be an original car, so your help will be appreciated.
There were so many changes that I am lost.
The car is US specs, Sept 1969 with Power steering and Air conditioning.

I suspect the weird button on indicator switch might not be original :)

Maybe worth glancing through the Moss Jaguar site as Angus has a wealth of S2 knowledge and photos:

Thanks Heuer, I was not familiar with this site.
I am also reading JCNA Series 2 E-Type Judges? Guide which is very helpful.
The amount of changes Jaguar made only in 1969 is astonishing.
For example I just found out that "on cars with second type air conditioning front fan was deleted and instead two normal fans run continuously, rather then being thermostatically controlled". That's weird, why wouldn't you want for the thermostat to control fans?

Hi Iradek....I also have a 69S2 2+2 UK spec...when u say that u want this as an original car does this mean that u will keep it as US spec with the twin strombergs etc or convert to european spec.....Steve

Hi Iradek,
the engine bay looks fine to me. I'll have to look it up I think mine is also from September 69.
The cam covers are the right ones for late '69 (without the 'broken' ribs).
The hot water expansion tank should be black and not polished brass, so that's correct as well.
The windshiels washer tank pedestal is also correct and at the correct location althougfh the bottle is missing.
These cars had the narrow data plate and not the big one.
I'm not sure on the ignition parts like spark plugs and cables etc.

I'm gonna keep twin strombergs. I want a cruiser for lazy Sundays, not a sports car. That's why I want to keep AC and PS.
How about you?

Hi Iradek
The Facet fuel pump under the bonnet is definitely not original, is it the only pump or is it in series with the SU pump which should be in the boot behind the RHS panel.
Mine is a 69 US spec OTS but which has been converted to three SUs

it looks pretty much similar to mine (early 1970)
However I think there should be a black hot water heater fitted to the inlet manifold, introduced in oct 1968

Yes, the fuel pump in the boot is missing, I am going to get rid of the Facet pump and reinstall original.
How is the performace/economy when you converted to 3 SU? Big difference?

According to the Originality guide the cross-over pipe was introduced in October 1969 in USA and Canada cars, so mine doesn't have it yet as it's form September

Hi Iradek
The carbs had been changed over before I got the car so I can't tell you if it was better or worse. I prefer the look of the SU carbs though. I did have a previous E Type with twin Strombergs but I couldn't get it to run properly for a long time and I didn't have a lot of free time and it needed much work so finally I sold it and bought a better car.
Good luck with your project.
Ian
