hello

I'v found my rear mirror broken when I bought the car, with the following compoents:
. casing split in 2 (now glued into one single piece)
. the glass mirror itself, with its nice triangular section
. a small part meant to switch the mirror between day/night position; thiis was broken and I found a supplier that can remake it with 3D laser capture and 3D printing

by the way if some of you also have this lever broken, I can help to remanufacture it (once the CAD file has been created, easier to mold or 3Dprint)

my question is: these 3 parts don't seem enough to have the mirror operating: are there any other samll parts ? spring ?
in particular there are 2 rectangular holes that seem ready to host a flat spring or something alike

any pics would be appreciated

thanks

in order to repair my broken rear mirror (not the mirror itself, but the plastic lever, at least), I requested my 3D printing supplier to make some

here is the result (he had to stick the 2 broken parts on a transparent plastic support, then scan it then print it) - I will do the painting

I fear some other parts are missing, though
any clue ?

Hi Rolando,

No, you don?t need more parts! The lever works as a spring flipping the mirror glass.
My lever was also broken, but after I glued it together it is working again.

thanks Henkie !

there seems to be too much free play, though, without any other spring than the lever itself
does the glass stay firmly in poisition or does it wobble a bit ?

I might add a spring for improvement maybe
