If you want the best; it's kind of got to be Borrani. https://www.borrani.com/jaguar-wheels/e-type.html

Only Borrani make Borrani's

Borrani will do a fully polished wheel, or a full painted one, and they can also do painted centre, spokes and most of the rim with a polished outer flange which gives you the best of both worlds.

the good news is they do NOT do stainless steel spokes. and they do NOT do tubeless wheels.

Here is a tubeless wheels

What's the take-home message of the tubeless wheel video?

Right, I have got to make a decision on my replacement wheels this week, so here is where I am up to.
They will be chrome and they will be MWS wheels  before I get shouted at !

However, I need to choose between the following:
Std 72 spoke replacement 15 x 5" with flat hub using my nearly new Dunlop Sport 185's or ............

Competition 72 spoke replacement 15 x 5 1/2" with curly hub using the same DS 185's

I would prefer the wider wheel, but it is only available in competition format with the curly hub, so my main concern now is how they will look & will they suit an S2 FHC ?

Has anyone got some pics of them on a car or got this combination and can let me know their experiences ?

Depends how much you value period correctness. If you do, it must be the flat 'easy clean' hub.

When I bought my car it had flat hubs on the front and curly's on the back. It took me 4 months to notice, but when I did, it niggled at me.

Personally, I think the flat hubs look just great on the S2. My preference would be the stock 5"

Mike, not shouting at you, but if you want easy clean but 5 1/2 inch have you thought of chatting to Phil Hallewell? Maybe he would make them?

Mike, for my S2 have opted for Dayton 15 x 6" flat hub with 185x15 Vreds. They look great and give full driving satisfaction, and before you ask yes the spare fits in the boot as intended.
I guess the MWS are also available with 15 x 6" flat hub.

Hi Geoff, I know you are not
When I checked with Phil about a month ago he had no S2 wheels ! :wow:
All he could do was rebuild my std 5" wheels
I really want 5 1/2 flat hubs so I get the extra width and look ?
I know I can get 6" but they may rub and not look good with my existing 185 x 15 's

Mike, can Turrino do anything to help? http://www.turrinowirewheels.com/
I've no idea of their quality, but when I chatted to them at Goodwood they implied they could make any size/offset.

Geoff,
Yes I've been in contact with Will Tomkins @ Turrino who may be able to help, their main replacement range is the same as MWS and made by Wheels India Ltd, so I'm not sure if the ones I want are made by them or whether they would have to be bespoke made ?

Whilst MWS don't have them in stock, can't they make some up for you? They have all the components, centres, rims and spokes.

Well I finally got the new wheels today, in the end I went for 4 x 15" x 5.5" Chrome Curly Hub Competition MWS wheels primarily because I wanted to use my current new tyres again, have stronger wheels with no buckled wheel issues and these are standard order from MWS so it kept the cost down.
Allready done a 100 miles odd on them and am very pleased, car looks better, feels more planted & also doesn't feel harsh like it used to.

I will get some better pics on the car when it stops raining ! Meanwhile here is some from the workshop today to compare.
