#1 advice on exhaust replacement

Hello

I'll have to change the exhaust as the existing one is not original nor in good nick

Although I have a lift, I'm a bit reluctant to remove it from below as unbolting the pipes on manifolds studs is awkward and supposes long rods , and the risk of breaking one of the corroded studs seems high

What do you think of grinding the old exhaust where both pipes join, unbolting the studs joining manifolds to engine, and removing the whole stuff from above ?
I believe that once manifolds+small part of pipes are on the bench, it will be far easier to unbolt, soaking studs in WD40 or similar
possible ? has anyone tried ?

If the old exhaust is trash then that makes good sense. Some of the studs are quite hard to access.
