#1 Back pressure on classic fabs exhaust system ?

Post by Keith in Norfolk » Tue May 24, 2016 5:58 pm

Thank you all very much indeed for your input and help.
.First of all I should have mentioned that my car has a part electronic system
no points or condenser just the rota arm and dizzy cap
The car started fine this morning with no problems which leads me to believe
there is nothing wrong with the coil or ignition system.
The problem only seems to happen when driving hard ie overtaking or driving at speed when the engine is at full tempreture .
I think I am inclined to agree with this not being a problem with the exhaust
system and will try what many have suggested and replace the coil and rota arm with the ones suggested and see if that solves the issue.
I will keep you all informed and once again thank you all for your help

A coil may work perfectly when cold and fail when hot.
