I had this issue and bought a replacement pump from one of the usual suppliers, only to find not only that it didn't look right - plastic instead of metal body, but it didn't work - the internal design was not up to keeping the water in the pipe after the pump, before the jet. On a Series 3, that's a long piece of piping and a lot of water. I think there's a valve in the bottle outlet and although I had a new bottle, which helped, I also made a new valve flap from thin plastic sheet. Anyway, some research revealed the part number of Lucas WSB100, I still have the box and the original unit.
