#1 Electrical Gauges Not Registering

Post by Redman » Mon Aug 26, 2024 4:11 pm

As of a week ago, when firing up the car all the electrical guages fail to move / register. After about 15 minutes on the road they all spring into life at the same time. This includes the rev counter. Ground issue? If so, anyone able to say where is it likely to be (that affects them all like this). But is rev counter also on a common ground? A steer in the right direction could help me avoid hours of fault chasing in and around the fuse / electrical panel and in the engine bay! Regards. Gordon

Look at the wiring diagram. They are all common to fuse 7. See if other items on that fuse are also affected before quarter of an hour has passed.

kind regards
Marek

I had a similar issue, the fuse itself was faulty.

Hmmm. Both fuses 6 and 7 look brand new and seem perfect. Certainly passing current. There is one wire termination that looks a bit dodgy so will re-do and report. In the meantime, the symptoms continue - guages only spring to life after 15-20 mins.

Check them for continuity, and also the fuse blocks between the spring clips & the spade terminals.
