#1 steering rack greasing

Post by tonypr01 » Thu Oct 10, 2024 3:05 pm

Hi, just completed rebuild of the steering rack on 1974 OTS and getting ready to grease it. The workshop manual says to inject 1 oz of grease, this doent seem like very much, but then again I am not sure how to measure 1 oz of grease so perhaps thats a lot? Any advice much appreciated!

Get the cooking scales out...I would imagine about a teaspoon of grease....basically don't pump it full so the bellows expand...your after just a smear of grease on the moveing parts...Steve
