Engine block drain plug
#1 Engine block drain plug
Anyone able to provide specifics on where I find the drain plug on the block? Repair Operation Manual does not mention it as far as I can see, and I'd like to do as good a flush of the block after draining coolant as I can. I did see a post on here that mentioned it being near the bottom of the oil dip stick pipe, but it's not immediately evident to me. Thanks.

#3 Re: Engine block drain plug
Incidentally, for my last coolant replacement, I used the tap on the XK block in addition to draining the rad.
I got almost 2 litres additional!
Worth using it (previous time I didn't do it because fearing of breaking a possibly seized tap).
(maybe different for the V12 block, depending on the block geometry)
