It's certainly true that colour is a matter of choice but I believe that with cars you have to make sure the colour suits the model. When i decided to have my Ser 3 repainted I realised that although I didn't like the British Leyland version of Jaguar BRG I still wanted the car to be original colour. Problem solved by painting it in the earlier darker Jaguar BRG, a shade I much prefer. As far as I'm concerned it retains it's identity. See pics.
