#1 WANTED: S3 Km/h Speedo (swop for MPH?)

Post by jagwit » Sun Sep 10, 2017 5:52 pm

I’m re-commissioning a S3 for a friend and this car is fitted with a MPH speedo. We are on the metric system in South Africa and thus a Km/h speedo is preferred.

Can anyone help? Willing to consider a swop.
Best Regards
Philip

Hi Philip
Fyi there is the solution to use a label covering all the Mph indication on the speedo face.

I bought a kph series 3 speedo at a autojumble in the UK in 1983 to go into my UK spec series 3. Put it in but the speedo and oddometer were reading completely different to real speed and distance. Obviously it was for something else but not sure what. It was SN - 6332/0825.

So do your homework first to determine the correct part numbers etc to ensure it fits your car.
