Oil Pressure guage sender early V12E
#1 Oil Pressure guage sender early V12E
My oil pressure has been indicating low and then normal readings, I replaced the sender unit about 30 years ago!! So I purchased a replacement C31177 shown on page 32.60 1974 parts book. Mine is mounted directly above the oil filter and not in the valley. Have to remove the mud shields first. To my surprise the replacement has larger screw size and doesn't fit. Now I know my car is original. It possibly is C34672 from an XJ12 although the parts book does not show this. Was this an early quirk.Anybody else had this issue?

The original part number from book was correct. I changed supplier to David Manners and received one that fitted and performed perfectly. Made in England. Spade terminal was to one side but wire was long enough. Too many bad repro items out there but this supplier is very good.
