Dear colleagues,

I had to buy new lenses for the rear lights of my 71 S3.
The spares from SNG fit well but the red coloured areas are much lighter than on the original lenses.

Are there parts available which come closer to the original or might my originals (unfortunately broken) have darkened over the centuries.

There is no reason to think that Lucas sprayed each and every lens exactly the same colour red ever since 1971.

You can always just get some transparent red paint and paint the inside darker if you wish. The lighter red it is, the brighter the light will be and that is probably "an upgrade".

So I will just keep the SNG parts and be happy that I got everything working again.
